Debris plugging screen wash sump. Bottleneck and maintenance eliminated.
Intake water for industrial and power plants require vast quantities of water. Intake screen wash cycles generated large amounts of concentrated debris. Centrifugal pumps were plugging and binding with this heavy debris loading. Pitbull pumps eliminated this bottleneck with a zero maintenance record.
Filter press feed pump upgraded. Downtime now eliminated.
This ductile foundry had an extremely high pump failure rate in waste slurry transfer service. Double diaphragm pumps had to be rebuilt monthly and replaced yearly. After five years, the original Pitbull filter press feed pumps are still in service. Downtime and chronic maintenance were eliminated.
Lime crusher sump pump upgraded.  Solids buildup and abrasion stopped.
Limestone rock and fines were constantly falling off conveyor belts and into these sumps. Vertical centrifugal pumps had chronic maintenance problems and were prone to silting-in and abrasive wear. Pitbull pumps were installed over four years ago. They keep sump levels lower, automatically removing solids to match the incoming flow rate. Abrasive wear is now virtually non-existent. |
