Pitbull Model S2V
Non Metallic Submersible Pumps The Model SV2 is a submersible pump capable of demanding service in highly corrosive sump and transfer conditions. Constructed of glass reinforces vinyl ester, the pump is resistant to hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, nitric, phosphoric, hydrofluoric, sodium hypo chlorite, sodium hydroxide and many other industrial chemicals.
Each pump is supplied with an AP200 pneumatic control panel, which automatically cycles the pump at the rate liquid flows to it.
Because the Pitbull has no dynamic seals or diaphragms, it will operate in aggressive chemicals without the typical maintenance headaches. Debris and solids can pass through the pump, unable to damage anything because the pump is hollow. There is literally nothing inside the pump for the fluid to attack.

Model and Options Selection:
Part Number Ø
S2V __/ __/ __
Standard units:
#S2V = a 2" vinyl ester submersible pump with PVC checks and epdm seats.
Optional examples:
#S2V/PP/V = a 2" vinyl ester submersible pump with polypropylene checks and viton seats. *Vinyl ester used is Ashland Chemical Hetron 922 Series. Direct equivalent is Dow Durakane 411-25
A complete pump contains: pump, inlet and discharge check valves, an AP200 control panel and 15’ of nitrile/polyester braided airlines (3)
Description of options:
‘FI’ flow inducement. This is an air powered, vacuum generator mounted to the exhaust valve of the control panel. It is operated by a manual ball valve: ‘open’ generates full suction force; with the valve ‘closed’ the pump runs as a standard, gravity fed unit This option is used on a submersed pumps. Vinylester pumps are sold as submersed units only. Valve seat selection:
EPDM - goot heat and acid/base resistance. Tougher than viton but poor solvent resistance, use to 300ºF.
Viton - excellent resistance to oixidzers and solvents. Medium strength, use to 250ºF
Temperature Limits
Pump Chamber - 150ºF
PVC checks - 100ºF
Polypropylene checks - 130ºF
PVDF checks - 200ºF |

AP200 Control Panel
Commonly Asked Installation/Application Questions Where is the control panel mounted? Place within the 15’ radius of the airlines, above the pump. Up to 20’ extra can be ordered (consult CIPC if more is required).
Can the airlines be hard-piped? Yes they can, but the ID’s of our standard lines must be matched. You will need an adapter from CIPC for one of the lines.
Can a pump be modified or made especially for my application? Yes, there is almost always a way to make a unit fit and function with a custom design.
Can the piping be reduced?
Smaller piping causes higher head and velocity, and the pump may pass things the piping can’t. Try to avoid dropping more than one pipe size. |
